Not many people know why I became a Dog Trainer.

As a child a grew up to the most amazing lab called Pepper, so when I go married I dreamed of getting a dog but due to hubby being in the army we felt it would be better to wait till he got out so in 2010 we got Otto our Weimaraner. I had so many plans for him and me, but sadly they never happened due to him becoming reactive to dogs.

As Otto got worst I did my research and attended a reactive workshop which helped me understand more on how to help Otto. I then attended so training classes but felt I was not going anywhere with it or the methods just didn't sit well with me, this then led me down the route of becoming a dog trainer, but courses were too expensive or I didn't like the methods used, then one day on Facebook I came across some trainers with an new way of training by play some simple games, so gave them a go with Otto and he loved it as he got rewarded for using his brain.

A year of learning games and playing with Otto and the dogs I walk as a dog walker, I decided to sign up to the ProDog Trainer Course to become a Dog Trainer.

Why did I sign up?

Well after going to so many trainers that I felt didn't meet mine or Otto's needs I wanted to share what I had been teaching Otto & how it changed our lives.

My plan for the year is to help more dog owners and their dogs by sharing my love for Games Based Training.
